Usually, fall for me is just pre-winter, the season I dislike most. It serves a a warning that I had better start digging out sweaters and jackets and even though I like the temperature range, I don’t like what it means.

Honestly, I never had a real appreciation for autumn until last year when we did the “treasure hunt”. Ah, remember that? Those were images that you usually see on postcards because the area had been virtually untouched by some developer looking to make a few million. The leaves were so colorful that had I not been looking at them with my own two eyes, I would have assumed they had been digitally altered. They were beautiful, weren’t they? Hopefully they’ll do it again next year but only if we can see autumn as it should be, not what we’ve been stuck with this year. You’re right. We were robbed!!!

I know what you mean. I can’t wait for it to get cold here! I’m tired of this. So it has cooled down a lot (yes Bobbie, it’s cooled down even though I live in AZ), but it will be cool for like a day then go back up to like 95 degrees. The winters here are so nice, cold crisp air that chills you to the bone. With day temperatures of like 60-65 then cold nights in the high 20’s low 30’s…cuddling weather.

I think its weird how last week it was really warm and now its the complete opposite. I love walking through the autumn leaves and hearing the crunchy sounds coming from the leaves. I think that autumn leaves really help beautify an area. Don’t even get me started on winter. I love the snow, hot cocoa, winter warm clothes, the holidays, the fresh crisp air, fires… I could list a million reasons on why I love the winter. The seasons fall and winter bring back a lot of childhood memories for me.
